Unfortunately both, our 13U and 12U teams lost their first game on Saturday, but we must say they gave it a good fight.  The 12U team lost by only 1 point and a heck of a team effort.  We'll get them next time.  Watch the website for more updates.

This is our first year offering wrestling to our children!  Coach Antwon Johnson, Rodney Allen (previous football coach) and other established wrestling coaches are offering this sport to us this season!  Practice info: (click here for more information)

Flowers High School, 6:30-8:30 PM, Mon/Thurs/Fri (DuVal HS on Fridays), SEASON began, November 17: matches begin in January 2012 and end March 2012.  Registration is complete, but you may contact the coaching staff for more information for next season or come out and see for yourself.

You know that brought it on! Our 12U and 65 Pound Teams did their thing last weekend and they’re headed to the SUPERBOWL on Saturday/Sunday at Heurich Field!  We wish them the best and we hope you all will come out and SUPPORT the teams!  Good Luck, Coach Stacy Murphy and Coach Mike Guess!  WE ARE PROUD OF YOU!

The GABGC Cheerleaders took home the GOLD, SILVER, and BRONZE at the Annual PG County Boys and Girls Club Cheerleading Competition, at Cole Field House, UMD.  All 6 Squads took home honors:  6U - 3rd Place, 8U - 3rd Place, 10U (level 1) - 1st Place, 10U (level 2) - 2nd Place, 12U - 1st Place, and 14U - 2nd Place!  We are proud of all of them!  Click here for competition results!

We earned number "1", because of Coach B, Katrina, Kennae (holding the trophy on the left side), Kashmere, and Angel!  They are singled out only because they put a part of the routine together!  Everyone else knows that we couldn’t have done it without YOU!  Coach B- loves you all!!

Each year the Prince Georges County Boys and Girls Club honors a girl, boy, woman, and man of the year from each registered club.  Below are the honorees for Glenarden.

Girl of the Year - Andrell Dupar

Boy of the Year – Malik Murray

Woman of the Year – Trashaun Herring

Man of the Year – Rahsaan (Coach Rah) Walker. 

Although you may believe you can do it better, you sometimes hinder the process/progress!  Please refrain from coaching the children.  All coaches must have ASEP training and a Background check in order to work with our children.  If you have concerns please consult the coach, commissioners, or the athletic director after practice.

In addition, football coaches must also be USA football certified.
